Are you eligible for government funding?

Australian Fitness Academy is an approved provider of the Skills for Victoria - securing Jobs for your future program.

This program focusses on giving more people the opportunity to gain their qualifications through Victorian and Commonwealth government subsidised training. The government subsidy is available on the Certificate III in Fitness, the Certificate IV in Fitness and the Diploma of Fitness at AFA.

The Victorian Training Guarantee - Eligibility Criteria

  • Are you an Australian Citizen?
  • Do you hold a permanent visa? 
  • Do you hold a special category visa (sub-class 444)? 
  • Are you an East Timorese Asylum Seeker? 
  • Do you hold a temporary protection visa?

If you answered yes to any of the above, and you are a permanent resident of Victoria (who will continue to reside in Victoria throughout the duration of your study) are you:

  • Aged under 20 years on 01/01/2012? 
  • Aged 20+ years on 01/01/2012 and applying for a qualification higher than the highest qualification you already hold?

If you answered yes to either of the above, you are most likely eligible for government subsidised training in the Certificate III in Fitness, the Certificate IV in Fitness and/or the Diploma of Fitness at AFA through the Victorian Training Guarantee.

 

With government funding you can choose to study face-to-face or online.

  • Face to Face – For the Certificate III & IV in Fitness you can choose from full-time and part-time courses held in Caulfield, Victoria. See class timetable for start dates.
  • Fully Online – with 6 months (Certificate III & IV in Fitness) and 2 years (Diploma of Fitness) to complete each fitness qualification you can study from the convenience of your home. Start anytime. The Diploma of Fitness is also available via Integrated delivery.

 

Enrolment fees for a government funded course with AFA are:

  • Certificate III & IV in Fitness - $325 per course ($187.50 each with a Health Care Card)
  • Certificate III in Sports Trainer - $325 ($187.50 with a Health Care Card) 
  • Diploma of Fitness - $375 ($187.50 with a Health Care Card)
