The SIS30810 Certificate III in Sports Trainer course provides you with the skills needed to work with sporting clubs as a sports trainer! Completion of this course allows you to register as a Sports Trainer with Sports Medicine Australia.
About the SIS30810 Certificate III in Sports Trainer
The role of the Sports Trainer is quite varied and includes:

Athlete health and wellbeing

Injury prevention and first aid

Warm up, cool down and athlete recovery

Taping, bandaging and strapping
When studying with AFA you have the option of completing the Certificate III in Sports Trainer as a stand alone course or you can complete the sports trainer module in addition to your Certificate III in Fitness gym specific qualification. Whatever you choose, a Sports Trainer qualification increases your knowledge and employment opportunities.
The Sports Trainer module includes the following topics:
The course includes a 20-hour work experience component at a sports club and both theory and practical assessments.
Upon successful completion of this course students will be eligible to apply for registration as a sports trainer with Sports Medicine Australia.

Study Options
The core modules of this course are the same as the core module of the Certificate III in Fitness and can be completed online or as face to face classes (within Victoria only).
The sports trainer module is completed as a face to face program (within Victoria only).
