Are you satisfied with your current position in the fitness industry?

Amongst other things the 2013 Workplace Survey* conducted by Sportspeople provides a snapshot of employee satisfaction, and as an industry it appears we are a pretty happy bunch!

Findings from the survey show that 84% of all employees are either satisfied or very satisfied with their jobs and that 90% of us (from the aquatic, fitness and sports sectors) plan to stay in this industry long term.

For the team at AFA there are no surprises to hear that the industry is full of satisfied employees, self-employed and business owners. While many may believe the industry is full of new trainers who are attracted to the ‘lifestyle’ of a Personal Trainer, the reality is the industry is full of people who have found success and satisfaction for other reasons.

“The survey confirms our position to maximise employment opportunities for our graduates. The qualification is an entry point to a rewarding and satisfying career” said Steve Hore, AFA National Manager.

* The 2013 Sportspeople workplace survey attracted 2,122 responses. 92.6% of respondents indicated they are currently employed (or have been in the past 12 months) in the sport, fitness, aquatic, coaching, venues, events, leisure or lifestyle sector.
