Who are we looking for?
Due to ongoing growth within the business, we are looking for a highly motivated and performance-driven Sales professional to join our team in Melbourne. The ideal candidate may have previous experience in either or both of the fitness and higher education industries.

About the position
The position is full-time (37.5hrs) commencing ASAP and is based at our head office in Caulfield South. Standard working hours between 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday. OTE is $90K+ with uncapped commission.
The responsibilities of the role include:
- Managing sales enquiries – receiving and handling sales calls and emails, arranging and conducting meetings with potential students, converting enquiries to sales
- Achieving monthly targets (individual and team)
- In conjunction with Sales Manager, establish new strategies to generate and convert enquiries
- Maintaining sales records, tracking and following up leads using our CRM (HubSpot)
- Working with the Administration team to facilitate the enrolment process for each student, including taking payments, sending and approving forms and setting up direct debits
- Providing outstanding customer service while assisting people to create a career in fitness, sport, health and recreation
- Representing AFA at trade shows, career expos and industry events
- Work with other departments to increase efficiencies and profitability for the business
The Key Selection Criteria include:
- Experience in a similar sales role, including a proven track record of achieving targets (preferably within the fitness or education industry)
- Strong attention to detail and administrative skills
- Experience using a CRM and other software including Adobe and Microsoft programs
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The ability to align with the culture of AFA, including the capacity to work autonomously and contribute to a positive team environment
- A genuine interest in helping people to create a career in the fitness industry
