This agreement is designed to explain your obligations when undertaking a course delivered by ProNatal Fitness®, in conjunction with Australian Fitness Academy, and it details what our obligations are to you as your course provider. We recommend you keep this agreement in a safe place for future reference.
By enrolling into a course delivered by ProNatal Fitness®, students are also agreeing to their Terms & Conditions located here.
Payment Terms
Direct Debit:
The following is your Payment Service Agreement in consideration of Australian Fitness Academy (hereinafter referred to as ‘AFA’) (ABN 93 059 452 185) and ProNatal Fitness® (hereinafter referred to as ‘ProNatal) entering into and providing training as described on the reverse of this agreement (hereinafter referred to as “student”), the student hereby agrees to be bound by the following terms and conditions. AFA & proNatal will endeavour to abide by the original terms and conditions wherever possible.
a. Online courses. The course fee or deposit must be received prior to the student obtaining access to the online Learning Management System (LMS). For students paying the deposit, the fortnightly payment instalment contract must be arranged through PaySmart prior to obtaining access to the online Learning Management System (LMS). Course fees must be paid in full prior to the issue of the Certification. The enrolment form includes the full course fees and instalment payment contract.
b. Students must make a minimum of a $100 deposit in order to establish a direct debit plan for the remaining balance equal to the full amount of the course cost.
c. PaySmart instalment payments:
i. PaySmart is an independent credit facility utilised by AFA to provide instalment payments via direct debit.
ii. Applicants must agree to all terms and conditions outlined in the Direct Debit Request Service Agreement provided by PaySmart including a set-up fee of $8.80 and administration fees of $1.30 (weekly instalments), $1.95 (fortnightly instalments) or $2.95 (monthly instalments) and payment default fees ($15). A 2.27% surcharge is also added to payments via Visa/Mastercard (4.55% for AMEX), so we recommend using your BSB and Account number for your Direct Debit payments.
iv. Should you wish to modify, suspend or cancel the PaySmart Direct Debit Request Service Agreement, AFA must be notified in writing and you will be subject to these terms and conditions.
v. Default of an instalment permits AFA & ProNatal to disable student access to the online LMS and/or to terminate the student’s enrolment.
vi. You are required to pay the full contract amount of your course outside of the cooling-off period. Payment is irrespective of commencing or completing the Certificate III and/or Certificate IV in Fitness.
Further information about a Paysmart Agreement can be found here.
Upfront:
Students are able to pay for the entire course costs in full upon enrolment into ProNatal courses via supplied AFA payment gateways including PayPal, BPOINT or EFTPOS. There are no additional charges when paid in full.

Course Pre-Requisites
There are no formal pre-requisites to enrol in courses delivered by ProNatal Fitness®.
However, students enrolled in courses delivered by ProNatal Fitness® are encouraged to have previously completed the Certificate III and/or Certificate IV in Fitness course, or a Degree in Exercise/Sports/Health Science. Students wishing to enrol in courses delivered by ProNatal Fitness® without prior completion of a preliminary qualification are doing so at their own risk and may find elements of these courses difficult due to technical terminology and concepts that have assumed prior knowledge.
Students completing courses delivered by ProNatal Fitness® without prior qualification are encouraged to first undertake a Certificate III and/or Certificate IV in Fitness course, or a Degree in Exercise/Sports/Health Science. If you are enrolled in multiple qualifications concurrently, it is also recommended that you complete the Certificate III in Fitness before undertaking courses delivered by ProNatal Fitness®.
Course Access, Timeframes & Completion
Pre & Post-Natal Specialist Certification:
After registering for the course, students will have 1-year access to complete the course. The course is estimated to take about 30 – 35 hours. If needed, you can purchase course access extensions for $35 per month. You will get email reminders from ProNatal Fitness® to keep you on track, and you will always be able to see how much time you have left when you log in to your course.
To receive your Pre & Postnatal Certification and CECs, you must pass a final exam at the end of the course.
There is a 2-hour timed exam that you take at home on your computer or device (no testing centre). There are 80 multiple-choice questions. You must receive 85% to pass (68 questions correct). You can use any notes you want, but you must complete the exam within the 2-hour time limit.
If you do not pass, you can purchase an exam re-test for $35. But don’t worry, ProNatal Fitness® give you plenty of tips on how to prepare for the exam so you pass on the first try!
And if you do need to retake it, it’s the same test again, so you just need to review the questions you answered incorrectly.
All written materials (module PDFs, self-check answer sheets, course downloads, and the electronic textbook of entire course) are available for you to download and keep.
Group Fitness Course:
You have 1-year access to the course to complete it. However, all the written materials are available for you to download, so you have access to those for life. The course is estimated to take 5 – 7 hours to complete.
At the end of the course, there is a 50-minute timed exam that you take at home on your computer or device. There are 35 multiple choice questions, and you must get an 85% (30 questions correct) to pass. You can use any notes you want, but you must complete the exam within the 50 minute time limit.
If you pass, you will immediately be able to download your certificate. If you do not pass, you can purchase an exam re-test for $35.
Each module also contains a self-check to gauge your comprehension. These are not graded. They are purely for your learning benefit, and they serve as great preparation for the exam.
Course Outcomes
If you plan to work one-on-one with pre and postnatal clients, then you should take the Pre/Postnatal Fitness Specialist Certification.
After taking the Specialist Course, if you feel you need additional help in determining how to apply some of the concepts in a group fitness setting, then you can certainly take the Group Fitness course as well because the concepts are specific to group fitness.
