We’ve been hard at work over the Christmas period to give our facility a face lift. We completely remodeled our gym facility, classrooms and communal areas, as well as the staff offices. Giving our students and staff a new fresh feel to the facility. And today we cut the ribbon and officially opened.
What have we done? We completely gutted the old gym, taking away all the equipment that was taking up space and not offering much value. We didn’t just do this without any thought, though. Xavier, our gym manager, wanted to make sure that anything we got rid of, there would be a way to replicate its function on another piece of equipment. And to say he’s done a great job there is an understatement. We now have more room without sacrificing any of our student learning experience.
We ripped up all of the flooring and replaced it with heavy duty, high quality rubber flooring. We have also added a running/sled track to make sled pushes more fun and practical. We’re still waiting on a few bits and pieces, but the gym is looking fresh and inviting.
But that’s not all, we also took a hammer and paintbrush to the staff offices, toilets, kitchens and corridors around the place. Each of which have been re-carpeted, painted and touched up to make the whole place feel up to date and modern.
It has been a big task, to say the least, and our staff have been great getting on with their jobs whilst all this work has been carried out. Our Managing Director, Steve, has been hard at work throughout the whole process; organising tradesman, equipment, upgrades on the facility and more, and has done a great job making sure everything has been carried out on schedule.
Here are a couple of shots of the gym before, during and after the work was completed.
We hope you like the upgrade, and feel free to come in and check it out.
