When the weather is warm and the sun is shining, there’s nothing more refreshing than an ice cold smoothie. These healthy smoothies will make for a perfect summer breakfast or afternoon snack, and will also give you a delicious serving of fresh fruit and even some veggies.

1. Two-minute Breakfast Smoothie
- 1 banana
- 1 tbsp porridge oats
- 80g soft fruit (whatever you have – strawberries, blueberries, and mango all work well)
- 150ml milk
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
2. Mixed Berries and Banana Smoothie
- 1 cup frozen mixed berries
- 1 frozen ripe banana
- 1/2 cup low-fat vanilla yoghurt
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
3. Sunshine Daydream Smoothie
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/2 cup frozen peaches
- 1 cup plain yoghurt
- 1/2 cup coconut water
- 1 fresh strawberry, for garnish
4. Green Breakfast Smoothie
- 1/2 firm ripe avocado
- 1 ripe banana, sliced
- 1 kiwifruit, peeled, chopped
- Large handful baby spinach leaves
- 1 1/4 cups low fat milk (cow, soy, almond, rice or coconut)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 1/2 cup ice cubes
5. Mango Lassi
- 3-4 ripe mangoes (honey mangoes if possible)
- 500g natural yogurt
- 2 tsp ground cardamom
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 limes, juiced, to taste
6. Kiwi Fruit Smoothie
- 3 peeled kiwi fruit
- 1 mango, peeled, stoned and chopped
- 500ml pineapple juice
- 1 banana, sliced
7. Mango, Strawberry & Pineapple Smoothie
- 1 mango, skin removed, cut into 1-inch dice, frozen
- 5 strawberries, stems removed, cut half, frozen
- 1 cup diced pineapple
- 1 cup orange juice

- 1 1/4 cups frozen raspberries
- 1 cup coconut yoghurt
- 2 cups milk
- 2 Weet-Bix, crumbled
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons coconut flakes, toasted
10. Tropical Breakfast Smoothie
- 3 passion fruits
- 1 banana, chopped
- 1 small mango, peeled, stoned and chopped
- 300ml orange juice
- Ice cubes
