Peanut butter is delicious, high in protein, and full of fiber. It’s a versatile, affordable nut butter that can be added to just about everything – it has to be the greatest of all time spreads out there!
It’s basically just peanuts, often roasted, that are ground until they turn into a paste. As well as being an excellent plant-based source of protein, peanut butter contains high amounts of healthy fats and a range of different nutrients.
Natural peanut butters are the best, so be sure to check the ingredients list of the PB you’re buying. Look for a product that contains no additives other than a little salt. You could also try making your own at home!
It is worth noting that peanuts are high in calories and, while they contain good fats, too much can be a bad thing. So while peanut butter is healthy, everything in moderation is key.
